Ways to feel happier....
- Smile- I always tend to smile at everyone and it makes my face feel happy if that makes sense :)
- Go outside (Sunshine is my best friend)
- Count your blessings- Especially when you look at other peoples lives. Remember where you were before you got here.
- Invest in yourself- This can mean buying something for yourself or simply just having YOU time. Do whatever makes you happy.
- Eat with mood in mind- For me sometimes if I crave a special lunch, I find a way to have it that week even if it means you cant get it that day.
- Practice gratitude- I decided this year to donate to 3 charities or places that I felt I wanted to contribute to. Small amounts. Do your research and that can mean eventually you can find a way to help. This also means helping others and volunteering.
- Give a compliment-That compliment will make someone smile so that should make you smile. :)
- Reflection- Sometimes you need to take the time to think and have a peaceful few minutes. For me it can be praying or talking to God.
- Exercise-This one is hard for me to do I will admit. When I do it, it makes me feel accomplished which makes me happy but to take the time to actually exercise is hard. This is definitely on my list to work on.
- Stay organized- When home, car, desk, calendar, piles of paperwork are not organized. I tend to feel sad and might not make a big deal of it but then throughout the week I tend to think about it and feel overwhelmed so tonight I am cleaning out my desk area and making it pretty!
- Walk a show or movie-This is probably my go to. There's something about other peoples lives on tv that draws attention to them and not you.
- Last but not least, Talk to someone you love- Even if its a text or sharing a picture. It will make you smile.
